Hello,

MX Custom Field Access allows you to hide/show(from publish page) custom fields on member_group-weblog basis.

Enjoy!

If you will have any issue or bugs or request for new functionality, feel free to send me a note and I will help you ASAP.

Hi Max,

Haven’t had chance to check this one out yet but it looks like a great little addition this one, thanks.

Did notice in the screen shot that it says fileds instead of fields although haven’t tested it yet so don’t know if that’s in the download or not though?

Best wishes,

Mark

You’re going to hate me for this :-(

Just installed the extension and it all seems to work fine so thanks for that. Did notice that custom has an ‘e’ on the end of it in the main settings page though. Sorry. Also on the description for the extension on the extensions page.

Best wishes,

Mark

If you could figure out a way to assign the custom fields to custom tabs within this extension, that would be killer!

You sir are an absolute extension god!! 😊

And also a very nice person for letting us all get our grubby hands on them too.

Best wishes,

Hey Max

Just starting to discover your Addons and they look extremely promising!! Having a bit of trouble with this one though as it doesn’t appear to have changed anything. Can you confirm that it’s Multiple Site Manager compatible?

Cheers

Jim

yes, it’s shout be works fine with MSM. I just test it now, catch couple notes (in case if extension hasn’t settings at all – fix it in next version), but no errors. May have a place conflict with another ext.? Could you please make screenshots of your extension page and send me by PM. Thanks!

Hi Max,

I think I might be having a similar issue to Jim, as my settings page looks different to your screenshot (see attached screenshot), and the settings don’t seem to have any effect on the publish page.

I’ll PM you my list of extensions as well, if it helps..

Cheers,

Michael

Jim Pannell - do you have a gypsy in the extension list? I fund the conflict with gypsy. I’m working on it now.

I’m getting the following error at the top of the Control Panel page:

Notice: Undefined index: cf_1_4 in /home/user/public_html/system/extensions/ext.mx_custom_field_access.php on line 424

It also messes with the CSS, as the Custom Field titles & instructions have an enlarged font size. But it only shows when logged in as SuperAdmin and when I haven’t set any restrictions on what to show.

I’m guessing that there needs to be some value in there, perhaps there should be a ‘None’ in the select dropdown of fields you want to hide.

Or

Change the if SuperAdmin issue (probably best option, or you would have to set every combination of member/weblog).

Same/similar error for me too that Paul is getting : Notice: Undefined index: cf_1_3 in /home/**/extensions/ext.mx_custom_field_access.php on line 424

I’m using fieldframe but not gypsy.

Great concept for an extension btw

Thanks for this Max!

For some reason though not all of my member groups are showing up on the settings page … only the SuperAdmins member group is appearing.

Any idea why that could be?
