Ok, I disabled nGen File and the screens come back…But now the problem is getting things to work with nGen File enabled. I have the nGen File v0.9.10 and EE 1.6.8 Build: 20091002 …. Any ideas what’s going on here? Everything was working fine until we tried bulk editing a bunch of entry titles

Looks like an issue with nGen File? Let me move this thread for you.

I’m having this same problem.

If I delete the images in the ngen folder, and then reupload to that folder (all via ftp) it fixes it. However, the problem keeps coming up over and over again for me. It’s extremely not cool. I wonder if certain sized images (too big or something) freak the plugin out and mess it all up.

Chaps, I had the same issue. Reverting back to nGen 0.9.7 fixed it for me. Scared to update now so not ideal!

I’ve had this happen a few times & each time the fix was to go into the images folder & DELETE the most recent image from server (or delete 1 by 1 to find the cuplrite).

It must have something to do with certain images because I always take the image that was causing the blank screen, bring it back into photoshop, and then save as for web again. Then it fixes the problem.

Hi all, I have this well and truly sorted now. It was down to having large (300dpi) images in my upload folder. It was choking during thumbnail generation. I removed the images and downloaded the latest version of nGen File Field (1.0 at the mo) which now supports low resolution thumbnails (dropdown in the settings for that field). I also added a size limit in my upload prefs.

Now all is well!
