Yep, not sure when though - maybe next month…? See earlier in the thread for suggestions: Time picker

Regarding adding time… could you make it optional? I’m using the field to specify the date from which a house for rent will be available… obviously, I’m not keen on having to specify a time of some sort for such a purpose. 😉

I’m using TBZ Date right now and I have a quick suggestion for you:

On SAEF update pages the calender pop up has a tendency to show up below other items on the page (such as the fieldframe entry field itself). This can be fixed by applying a z-index to the .ui-widget, which I did by giving .ui-widget in the theme css a z-index of 20. It would be a bad idea to set an arbitrary >1 value to that out of the box.

Great fieldframe extension though. 😊

Confused - don’t you mean “It would not be a bad idea”?

I’ve not used SAEF, but I’ll look at what FieldFrame is doing. Alas I’ve suggested to Brandon the other way, whereby he reduces FieldFrame Z-Index, as it conflicts with other extensions, such as Blis Publish Button. I’ve also had problems on IE7 when I had an FF Matrix at the top of the Edit/Publish entry screen and one the tab contents (e.g. Structure tab) dropped down and the FF Matrix burnt through it. I’ve never been back to test it thoroughly though (I was demoing to a client at the time, and quickly moved on before they noticed!). FF/Chrome/Safari never have these problems as the fields gets pushed down when you open tabs.

But that said, the date picker is an overlay/popup so should be set higher.

Thanks.

Is it possible to sort weblog entries by date using this fieldtype? I’d like to use this for an events calendar and would like to order the entries based on the value in this custom field.

Hi Joe,

Because it uses Unix timestamp, you should be able to do it with orderby=”{fieldname}”, possibly with sort=”asc” as well.

Although this wouldn’t work if it’s inside a FFMatrix field.

Peter,

I’ve installed the datepicker however the css formatting is not working. No background images for the date jquery datepicker?

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

I found the problem - I didn’t read your “IMPORTANT” instructions. 😉

Changing the jquery ui source to http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.7.2/jquery-ui.min.js fixed the problem.

Thanks a ton!

Hi!

This plugin seems handy. I’m trying it now, but for some reason it isn’t working. jQuery and UI paths are right, and firebug isn’t showing any js errors. I click on the input or the icon and simply nothing happens.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Check it’s the correct version of JQuery UI, see first post (the default EE created JQuery link is to a very old version).

Edit: Although that will probably only effect the display, and so something should at least display…?

Thanks for the prompt answer.

Yes, I did double checked the jQuery and jQuery UI links. Perhaps some conflict with other addons / fieldtypes?

Hi,

I am using TBZ Date Picker with Field Frame. The date seems to be displaying in timestamp format instead of the format I chose. I tried setting the format through the field frame settings to

MM YY

. When that didn’t work, I tried setting the format through the expression engine date formatting rules:

{publish-date format="%F %Y"}

Where publish_date is my field. Neither is working - I am getting 1257660000 instead of August 2009.

I checked my Jquery UI version - it is correct. I seem to remember that things worked before and then suddenly stopped, but I can’t be 100% sure. I cleared my EE cache as well as my browser cache but no luck.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

creativemediafarm: Have PM’ed you.

negs: Can you check you’re using the latest version of FieldFrame (v1.3.5 should be fine) and also the latest version of the TBZ DatePicker (v1.0.5). If that doesn’t solve it, PM or email some login details and I’ll take a look.

Thanks,

Peter

Update: creativemediafarm issue was resolved from browser cache clear and refresh.
