Structure not functioning properly

I’m building a site and attempting to use Structure for it, but I can’t get it set up properly. I’m logged in as a super admin, assign a weblog and template as structure, but the settings don’t save. If I create a new user group and give them access to everything Structure needs, it says the user doesn’t have access. The Structure tab also never shows up on the publish page. I’ve removed and reinstalled it but that didn’t help. Does anyone have any pointers as to what I might be doing wrong or what might be going on?

Have you installed the extension and activated as well as the module?

There’s an extension? Or do you mean jQuery? I enabled jQuery and the module.

As part of the Structure install you should have copied the extension file to the extensions folder, 2xlanguage files into language/english, the module “structure” folder into modules and the theme “structure” folder into the cp_themes/default.

You then need to install the module (which you’ve done), but also enable the extension in Admin › Utilities › Extensions Manager, which is the step I think you’ve missed.

The extension defines what appears in the Publish/Edit page, without it you’ll get nothing.

Oh, I see. Thanks, that seems to have done the trick. The tutorial I’m following neglected to mention I also had to enable the extension.
