If you have a couple of content sections to which only certain members shall have access and any member may have access to any combination of those sections at some point you come up against a brick wall when trying to handle access with EE’s member groups.
The Restricted Area module takes a different approach to this problem by letting you create areas of restricted content and then allow access to them on group and/or member level.
FYI, this module rocks (Silenz was kind enough to let me play around with this in beta). Anyone who has asked for the old one-member-in-multiple-user-groups feature needs to check this out. I’m returning my copy of aMember tomorrow.
Oh, and btw, Restricted Access also expires memberships, if you want. Nice touch.

Any reason for that?
Anyway must look at getting this one at some time because if I’m reading the documentation correctly (read it very quickly in around a minute just now) then it may well come in quite handy on a project I’m going to be taking on.
