I’m planning to create a how-to weblog for articles that show sequential steps in a process. I’ve been looking at how to span a weblog entry across multiple pages by creating new custom fields for each “page.” I want to expand that by using Mark Huot’s File extension to associate an image with each of those fields/pages. Then I want to follow the instructions in this thread to make that work with a SAEF.
Two questions:
If this content is user generated, I won’t know ahead of time how many fields (steps) there needs to be. I’m thinking I don’t have any choice but to create a bunch of placeholder fields and limit the user of the SAEF to that number of steps, correct?
I’m worried about starting all this work now with EE 2.0 apparently so close to release. Anything known to be in 2.0 that will help me?
Thanks, Jim

Have you already considered setting this up with Fieldframe and the FF Matrix fieldtype?
