Google Chrome Frame Extension

I was thinking that now Google has released Chrome Frame it would be great if we could use this for the EE Admin area. The main benefits are really just improved performance, especially in regard to Javascript performance.

Surely this is only really beneficial for people/clients who are locked into using IE6? And even then, most of the EE CP probably still works fine, right?
You’re spot on Jim. The benefits of this extension for IE6 aren’t browser compatibility but rather speed. IE6’s Javascript engine is rather slow where as Google Chrome’s is quite fast. If you’re using LG TinyMCE or another Javascript intensive extension, installing this extension for IE6 users may be worth considering.
We’ll release something similar for Expression Engine 2.0 (which isn’t IE6 compatible) should the need arise.
