Very weird problem involving nGen File Field in FF Matrix

I’m getting these sort of error messages when trying to edit entries that have FF Matrix fields with files uploaded with nGen File Field:
Warning: mkdir() [function.mkdir]: No such file or directory in /home/xxxxx/public_html/cms/extensions/fieldtypes/ngen_file_field/ft.ngen_file_field.php on line 714
Warning: chmod() [function.chmod]: No such file or directory in /home/xxxxx/public_html/cms/extensions/fieldtypes/ngen_file_field/ft.ngen_file_field.php on line 715
Notice: Undefined variable: _SESSION in /home/xxxxx/public_html/cms/extensions/fieldtypes/ngen_file_field/ft.ngen_file_field.php on line 722
Warning: in_array() [function.in-array]: Wrong datatype for second argument in /home/xxxxx/public_html/cms/extensions/fieldtypes/ngen_file_field/ft.ngen_file_field.php on line 722But, only when logged in as a super admin; if I log in with a different member group it’s OK. And the thing is that I was editing these entries just a couple of days ago as a super admin with no problem. 😖
What could possibly be causing it?
