I’m curious for some input here.

I somewhat overlooked this plugin because I personally don’t think SEO cares about meta data anymore after the abuse it saw.

But i have a client who’s running it now, and i was looking through the back end and it’s pretty nice.

what do others think about this? is it worth 40 bucks to put all that trouble into something that most people agree doesn’t matter anymore? or do you find it does matter?

I purchased it for one site, but no longer use it for new builds as I can replicate the required meta fields within each weblog using EE, adding dulee noted messages to explain and having them not shown by default to keep things neat. But it was a pain having different field names per weblog as they had to be unique.

Then I discovered the free Gypsy extension. This allows me to have “page-title”, “meta-description” and “meta-keywords” fields which I can use in all weblogs and simply have the entries tag pair in the head to dump the relevant information into the html.

Just as quick to setup as Better Meta and free!

Although I really should give Brandon a donation…
