Actually there are a number of extensions for this, and worth noting that CoolLocation is no loner supported. As for geotagger it looks like it has a great interface. Is it using fieldframe like SL Google Map or just javascript?
Thanks for your comments on the interface, Geotagger is only using javascript. There was no real need to use fieldframe in the use case I was trying to solve. Also, when you are trying to build store locator type functionality with EE, it’s important to have your latitude and longitude data in two distinct custom fields so you can query off of them.
Great extension.
Thanks so much!
As you mentioned SL Google Map falls over when you want the location data in separate fields for proximity queries.
I think SL Google Map was intended for a slightly different purpose so I wouldn’t say it “falls over”. It’s a great extension that serves its purpose well.
I really like SL Google Map - just the way it store its data doesn’t work for me.
I do appear to have found a small bug in geotagger. Whatever I do I can’t change the “Enter Map Zoom Level:” from anything other than 13. If I change it to say 15, lcik submit, and then go staright back in to the settings its reverting to 13.
