ugh… no replies

Well, I moved my site to production today, and now have not only the blank screen problem (and i updated to the latest) but now i can’t get the scrpt to load tinymce at all in IE

Webpage error details

User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.0; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; InfoPath.2; OfficeLiveConnector.1.3; OfficeLivePatch.0.0; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; Media Center PC 5.0; .NET CLR 3.0.30729) Timestamp: Sun, 13 Sep 2009 00:26:21 UTC

Message: Expected identifier, string or number Line: 37 Char: 1 Code: 0 URI: http://www.mmaspot.net/service/fieldtypes/mx_tinybrowser_field/tinymce_config/office.js

that’s the error I get, and line 37 is just the closing tag

})

Is there somewhere else this thing stores data? it makes zero sense that moving the system to a different folder breaks it. but I’ve checked the URL,path etc in both ee, and all tinybrowser spots.

well, some updates.

  1. what i figured was true, it’s timing out trying to load data. I checked a a couple things and i don’t know if this is the problem, but it isn’t right.

In the code for the image browser (tinybrowser) this is the text

See a space between ‘src,’ and ‘image’? i don’t know if that’s blowing it, but it’s getting replaced with the ‘percent20’ in the browser.

NO clue where to change that.

Also, I fixed the IE issue. there was a comma on the last line of the office.js file here:

// Drop lists for link/image/media/template dialogs
    template_external_list_url : "js/template_list.js",
    external_link_list_url : "js/link_list.js",
    external_image_list_url : "js/image_list.js",
    media_external_list_url : "js/media_list.js",
})

The last comma of course, isn’t needed. but FF doesn’t care. IE does. if removed I can now at least load the tinymce script, but obviously i’m still getting a blank page.

blank page is means that you have some PHP error message - could you please turned on error message display?

actually i finally figured it out.

I changed the url correctly, and the path’s correctly everywhere…… EXCEPT, i had a bad character in the file upload path. yike!!!

Still have the problem where i can’t point and click a pic and insert it. but I’m the only one that has the problem. none of my publishers do.

one suggestion, you might want to edit the office.js file and remove the last comma before it terminates. That fixes the problems in IE.

I noticed that tinymce breaks if you specify the “URL to your TinyMCE folder” as http://www.site.com/{path_to_tiny_mce_popup.js} but open the control panel using for http://site.com/MyCP Having the Control Panel link as http://www.site.com/MyCP works fine. Any workarounds for this?

have you tried /path/to/tiny_mce_popup.js without the url root?

@Cem : Yep. That didnt work.

Nevermind. I dont have that issue now. Uninstalled a conflicting extension. It works fine with or without ‘www’.

Thanks all.

Hello all, Today I decide to open the nightly version of MX TinyBrowser. It’s the beta of new version in with new functions. I hope that it will usefully: 1. New mode – MarkItUp+TinyBrowser. Yes, it’s mode for people why don’t really like a WYSIWYG Editors. I just started to catching the bug’s, so, be carefully 😊

  1. New tool – LinkManager which helps you to insert into you text fields links to entry in your system. Works with MarkItUp and TinyMCE (but I still working on script for inserting result of choosing).

Feel free to send me request what do you want to see in MarkItUp setup, in LinkManager interface/functionality?

P.s. searching in LinkManager works only by titles at this moment.

Hey there,

I am getting mixed issues depending on my hosting. I am using this extension on a few sites.

But anyway, I am able to upload images just fine, but am not seeing any thumbnails. Any ideas on why? The image uploads just fine and I can even add it to the page. But I can not see any thumbnails when browsing the TinyBrowser window.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

HI there,

I’m looking at using this on my site, but can you tell me if it’s possible to activate this on a stand alone entry form (saef)?
