Hello I got this installed and i have successfully uploaded one photo but having some problems…

  • I am getting some glitches in the browse section tab of tiny browser when it pops up…it’s only in that tab, the other tabs are fine. Here’a screenshot: http://idisk.me.com/kevans/Public/Pictures/Skitch/Edit_entry_|_ExpressionEngine-20090816-022123.jpg

  • This may be related to the first problem but I can’t seem to insert the image into the Image URL field of Tiny MCE once i have uploaded a image in Tiny Browser….how do you insert the image? clicking in the image in the Browser tab does nothing.

  • How do you get simpler formatting buttons in the Tiny MCE? I have it set to office.js and have tried all the others and they have way too many options than I want my client to have. I really like the options that the LG Tiny MCE extension has…

THanks for the great extension!

Kevin

- I am getting some glitches in the browse section tab of tiny browser when it pops up…it’s only in that tab, the other tabs are fine.

Is it in TinyMCE mode? If yes - check Global settings in Fieldtypes Manager (URL to TinyBrowser). Becouse if URL is incorrect, the system can’t load the tiny_mce_popup.js.

- This may be related to the first problem but I can.

Yes, this issues may be related.

You can edit files by you self - u can just copy from LG Tiny MCE configuration files next string:

plugins :
theme_advanced_buttons1 :
theme_advanced_buttons2 :
theme_advanced_buttons3 :

Also, when I hover over the formatting icons/buttons, the tooltip that comes up doesnt say what the button is, it just says… “[removed];” any idea what’s wrong?

yes it’s in TinyMCE mode, you select this in the custom field for that right?

I have this in the path to the js…

[removed][removed]

The js load fine in the browser so its not broken.

ah got it, I had it going to the file instead of the folder for the script.

How do you add your classes to the images that it inserts? I see that it adds a embedded style if you like float the image to the right….it would be optimal with you own style as a class…

usuale, by using TinyMCE interface (with TinyMCE plugin advimage).

plugin: "advimage, advlink",
    theme_advanced_buttons1 : "link,unlink,image,media"

p.s. I will glad to help, but this question is more for TinyMCE support forum. Because TinyBrowser part is ended after inserting path to Image URL field. After that - is work of TinyMCE.

I’ve been sitting here all day trying to figure this out and I just don’t get it. http://www.theyellosite.com/index.php/P4/ Why can’t I get tinymce to insert absolute path for my images?

I’ve followed these instructions but they break the path for the plugin. http://wiki.moxiecode.com/index.php/TinyMCE:FAQ#Paths.2FURLs_are_incorrect.2C_I_want_absolute.2Frelative_URLs.3F

you can try to insert the options below

    relative_urls : false,
    remove_script_host : true,
convert_urls : false,

I just tried it and it breaks tinymce in edit mode.

Here is what I have

tinyMCE.init({
    theme : "advanced",
    mode : "specific_textareas",
    editor_selector : "mx_tiny",
    file_browser_callback : "tinyBrowser",
    document_base_url : "http://www.theyellosite.com/",
    relative_urls : false,
    remove_script_host : true,
    convert_urls : false,
    disk_cache : true,
    plugins : "inlinepopups",
    theme_advanced_buttons1 : "bold,italic,underline,separator,strikethrough,bullist,numlist,undo,redo,link,unlink,code,image",
    theme_advanced_buttons2 : "",
    theme_advanced_buttons3 : "",
    theme_advanced_toolbar_location : "top",
    theme_advanced_toolbar_align : "left",
    theme_advanced_statusbar_location : "bottom",
    theme_advanced_resizing : true,
    width : "99%"
    });

I’m able to see tinymce on the edit page after updating to this new version but as soon as I add the setting for url as you stated above it breaks again. I just can’t think of what’s causing it. The only thing I have set up differently then the default installation is .htaccess routing to url with “www”. There is really nothing else but extensions.

Is impotent that URL to your TinyMCE folder and tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js was loaded from the same domain as CP works(site.com and www.site.com is a different domains for javascript security rules). But I really can’t catch the same error as you have after adding the tinymce options. Is the Url of CP the same as in Global script settings?

Yeah you know I was just remembered that I have absolute paths in the global MX TinyBrowser Field. URL to your TinyMCE folder: http://www.theyellosite.com/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/ Global script:

script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.theyellosite.com/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js" charset="utf-8"></script

Maybe this is where things are getting messed up? But everything else is on my domain and I’m not calling anything outside of it.

What about uls of next files: /tinymce_config/tiny.js tb_tinymce.js.phpscripts/mx_tinybrowser_field.js”? Did you try to use FireBug for checking JS?

is on my domain and I’m not calling anything outside of it unfortunally in most case the JS think that subdomain is a outside domains.

Embarrassingly I figured out the problem. All this time it was extra characters from copy pasting code from here. I really appreciate your help and sorry to put you though this. Works just fine now.
