I’m importing a list of members into the system with the same password. (their IT person doesn’t want to give me passwords for everyone) Is there anyway to make the user (force) change their password before/during their first login attempt?

Any ideas appreciated!

Are you using the XML based member import tool? If you leave the password fields blank EE will create random passwords for them. You can then ask them to make use of the “Forgotten Password” feature and have EE mail them new passwords.

I’ll suggest that to the powers that be. Great idea though. Thanks.
