Did we just see a soft launch of the development beta? 😛

Or is it that we have to have something to give in order to entice a copy, such as promise of a game? 😉

Cookies and chocolates have also played well with me in the past.

Looks like I’m going to have to pull out my chefs hat then doesn’t it? 😉

When you’re bribing, stick to what you know.  Perhaps a remote controlled helicopter?

Note: while all bribes are certainly welcome, the CTO wishes to make it clear that he is joking, and no one is getting anything early or in priority due to gifts.

Are you insinuating that I don’t know how to cook? I was going to be a cook years ago but couldn’t stand the heat! 😉

Actually that’s not really a joke as in severe heat I sometimes faint (very rare but has happened on occasion).

Also a remote controlled helicopter would cost me a lot more than the ingredients for a cake or cookies and it’s always the thought that counts my Mom says 😉 😊 😉

There’s many many things that I know and cooking, flying a helicopter, being a magician, music, advertising, electronics servicing, coding, css, image manipulation, matte painting are but a very very small list of the things that I do know how to do so take your pick! 😉

    Best wishes,

    Mark

That’s funny!  I was planning on attending California Culinary Academy until I spent my first summer after high school cooking in front of a 500 degree restaurant oven.  I had to drink 11 liters of water per shift to keep cool and hydrated, and I would “always” smell like food.  Three months of that and I decided that my professional cooking career was history

P.S. Derek, in the depths of Costa Rica I’ve discovered the secret to banana bread so delicious you would swear it was laced with something addictive.  Just thought I would sweeten the deal… 😉

Did we? If so, there might be good times ahead sooner than i thought (i live in idea that 2.0 comes 2009 but…)  😛

This is just a brief update to let everyone know that progress on 2.0 is going smoothly. We promised regular updates, but we aren’t going to include previews and or information with every update.

It’s been a bit since the last “update.” The curious are getting curiouser.

Regarding the updates on 2.0 development. I would be very interested in some of
the PHP-design things [the dev-team] encountered during porting ExpressionEngine to CodeIgniter.

Rick said there will be a 1.6.5 as well as a 2.0, with something called “strict URLs”.

Any latest on 1.6.5 or 2.0, is there a mid-term progress report?
Trying to fight the urge to go into a holding pattern waiting on new versions, upgrading is virtually painless.

...1.6.5 is coming in days, not weeks, so it may be best to wait for that update.

Taken from the 404-thread so there might be something someday coming =)
