One other thing for you to look at Elwin, If I have some empty category group I get the first of them listed in the selector box.

Check out the screenshot which makes more sense than me!

Parks - SA contains no categories yet. If I add a category to it I get the header of the next empty cat group.

I am also getting the category group names mixed up.

    See the screenshot…

For your information it has the correct group names for weblogs with one or two sets of category groups, but not for three. I haven’t tried it with more.

Hi, thanks for that screenshot including the “Edit Categories” link.

Now could you please tell me what the Category Group ID’s are for those groups?

As you can see the extension order is exactly the same as the Edit Categories” link, but the actual order of the groups is somehow different.

I have three category groups on the site:
    2 - Product Categories
    3 - Companies
    4 - Industries

in your extension the headings appear in this order:
    4,2,3

and the checkboxes appear in this order:
    2,3,4

Ok, fixed and updated to v. 1.1.3

Thanks to all who helped debug this.

@hambo, not sure this takes care of your problem too, let me know if the problem persists.

Is there any possibility that nested categories could be opened and closed with navigation collapse arrows?

I have a list of 30 categories, three levels deep, and it takes up three screens to see the whole list now.

    Nice idea seajay…

I’d love to look into it, if only I had more time.
I’ll put it on my list next to ‘multiple columns’ and a ‘scrolling container’.

    Thanks for your feedback.

Thank you for 1.1.3. The category group names are now correctly matched with the categories.

This is a great plug in ...

    Hey Cocoaholic,

This extension rocks. My only suggestion would be that the group headings collapse like the weblog fields , or like the weblog titles in Brandon’s Playa extension (I often have LOTS of categories)

    Thanks for sharing this!

I second this, and for the same reason.

Agreed. Playa isn’t working for me, but the UI is pretty intuitive.
