It would be absolutley great if EE integration is considered. I’m all ears! Still waiting for a Ecommerce solution EE style, and this could be it.

A lot of us EE lovers are waiting on an Ellis Lab EE integrated solution…
Having said that, I believe there would still be plenty of us interested in a Magento bridge as well.

As an experienced Joomla user looking for a new home, I registered on this board specifically to show interest in this solution. I suspect there tons of Joomla users in my situation.
EE is extremely attractive and the addition of an e-commerce solution makes the decision to switch easy!

I can say that we plan to integrate EE, which will drive MagentoCommerce.com soon, with our upcoming Magento Store that will sell Magento schwag.
How many of you out there would be interested in this? If we get enough response, we may add it to the roadmap.

I’ve been on your announcement list a while. Competition is good. But there’s little competition at the moment, so a more fully featured ecommerce integration with EE would be more than welcome. It makes everyone step up their game.
Congrats on the new site launch, and the imminent first release.

I have been reading magento blog and drooling that new page a lot! EE integration sounds great!
I think you guys have done great job promoting your open source project - and that’s great! I can see why you do that (giving it away free)! Great decision and all the best for your business too! Nice to see you growing.

YES! please integrate. From what i can see the one hole in the EE arsenal is a good ecommerce widget. Oh and as long as we are confessing… i too am a Joomla user. But I am finding it much more difficult to stick with Joomla knowing how easy and flexible EE is. The one thing I learned from that community is that there is plenty of business to be had by individuals looking to build add-ons. Not sure what that means since Magneto is Open Source (haven’t looked at the licensing) but the more widgets there are the more people will flock to a particular platform.

Add me as another person interested in using Magento as an e-commerce add-on to EE.

Glad to see there is an interest. We’ll definitely check it out and determine what is involved.
Either way (and unfortunately) this will not be in the short term. We are currently concentrating on product development and meeting the milestones.
Thanks again for the interest and we’ll keep everyone posted with the developments.

Will it support Australian tax, currency and gateways?
#28 / Jul 15, 2007 12:59am
Not initially. However, once the product launches a full community site will be available so we expect the community to help us quickly develop support for Australia, and other countries.

Looking forward to it!

Hmmm, who will be the first to really make an integrated module?
As I am reading it now the bridge might take longer to develop then Ellslab would take to finish their own Ecommerce module. Also there is a Belgian developer working on a EE module. This one should already be finished, but appears to be delayed somewhat.
I am in the middle of an Ecommerce project and really biting my nails hoping I don’t have to switch to another system…
