When you say you’re trying to get to admin.php, is it the admin.php for the initial site?
Do you have a cookie domain set up for each site?
Are you running any other EE sites on this server?

I have just one admin.php and these file is within public_html. And so I try always http://www.main-site.com/admin.php and not http://www.second-site.com/admin.php or anything else.
I didn’t change anything related to cookies. It’s just a basic installation. After successfull (fresh) installation, I was working on my sites. Everything was fine, because I’m able to login to my CP via Safari. And so I can edit all of my sites.
The day after, I was not at my home office and I tried to login to my sites on a different computer and this didn’t work.
I’m not running any other EE sites on this server. It’s just on EE.2.1/MSM installation

Hi Thomas,
At the moment your .htaccess is forcing all requests to yourdomain.com but all the site assets are being requested from yourdomain.de. Can you please disable your .htaccess file and replace index.php as the site index file at Admin > General Configuration.
Cheers
Greg

Try again. But .com is the primary domain now. And after we resolved this MSM-problem .com is replacing .de and .de will be a redirect to mydomain.com/de

Thomas,
Try again now please. You should be able to login as I just did.
In your config file I changed the
$config['cookie_domain'] = ".example.com";to
$config['cookie_domain'] = ".thomassausen.de";#24 / Nov 22, 2010 6:57am
Do I have delete cookies in my browsers? Because I still can’t login on other browsers.
#25 / Nov 22, 2010 8:48am
I deleted all cookies and tried to login with 3 different browsers and had no success.

Thomas, I’m also still seeing the issue with Firefox.. I’ll mention it to John.

I am having the exact same issue with a new install of MSM. As soon as I added a site, it kicked me out and won’t let me log back in. Has this issue been resolved yet for the others and if so what was the solution? I am totally locked out of the CP.

Are you using .htaccess, swilia? What method of authentication, cookies or session_ids?
#29 / Nov 23, 2010 10:36am
No, I’m not using htaccess and using cookies for authentication. I’ve cleared all of my cookies and still no luck. My site is on Engine Hosting and I still have it in preview, have not taken it live if that makes a difference.

Hi, swillia1. Are you only having the problem with Safari, or is it with any browser?
