As an experienced CI developer wanting to start on apps that will hook into EE2’s user system, my fingers are still firmly crossed for the second batch :coolsmile:

I still have the same questions as in this thread, where Derek says the details will become more clear following the dev preview.

I’m sure I’m not the only one eagerly awaiting some guidance on this.  Maybe some snippets of documentation could be released along these lines (suggested title: “CI and EE2: A Frickin’ Bone”)  😉  Now, back to my beta invitation voodoo rituals.

Can you please clarify exactly how we will be notified if we did receive the invite to test 2.0?  (Email, Private Message here in the forum, phone call, twitter, carrier pigeon, etc?)

Also, if we did NOT receive an invite, is there any recourse, can we reapply, will there be a Wave 1 and then a Wave 2 of invites?

Where will this be “announced”?  I checked the blog, and saw nothing but a Mug giveaway, and then thought to check here in the forum.  Is this page 6 of the forum post the place that the “announcement” will officially come?  You would think it would be posted/emailed/something a little more prominently.

Not trying to gripe, but a little more clarity would be appreciated.

Yes, all people selected (and only those) will be notified via email.

Y’all, let’s be a little fair here. EllisLab is a small company. There were over 1200 applications. In order to insure a proper selection into a very limited beta, they must go through each application and weigh the applicant against the goals of the beta. There are probably only 2 or 3 of the staff doing this process, we would all hope the rest are actively providing support in these forums or banging out the code for 2.0, at least that is my hope.

I’m as anxious as the next person, having applied and, as of yet, not received notice, but c’mon! Les has said the chosen will know it, and for those that are not, I’m sure there will be a “Beta Closed” blog post. I expect once all of the invitees have verified their inclusion.

Big or small or medium, it’s not the best way to announce ETAs or what-ever dates if they dont hold!!! Bad PR.

I got mail when i asked about the possible delay and i/all knows that why the second wave isnt out yet! But how long this takes, that’s mystery to me, or did Leslie send me mail by accident?
