ExpressionEngine 7

We’re happy to share that development of ExpressionEngine version 7 is underway! The ExpressionEngine team has been heads down on version 7 and building some of the technology we plan to release in the near future. We’re excited to share details about ExpressionEngine 7 in the upcoming months.

Core

Core has seen some big updates over the last couple of months.

  • 6.3.0 - The ExpressionEngine team released version 6.3.0 which included Conditional Fields, a handful of new fieldtypes, improvements to the Control Panel UI, and a plethora of bug fixes.
  • Patch Releases - Since the release of 6.3.0, we’ve also released a handful of patch releases with the current version being 6.3.4.
  • Repo Activity - 230 commits pushed, 180 pull requests merged, 1 minor and 4 patch versions released, and 75 issues closed.
