Hello, I just tried to install TinyMCE and the LG TinyMCE Custom Field Extension….and now I’m getting an error so that I can not login to the EE at all.

Now, when I try to login to EE all I get is….

Error Unable to load the following extension file: ext.tag_submit.php

This is what I did:

  1. I placed the ext.lg_tinymce.php file within the /system/extensions folder.

  2. I placed the lang.lg_tinymce.php file within the /system/language/english/ folder.

  3. I also downloaded TinyMCE from moxie and uploaded the “TinyMCE” directory to the root folder where my path.php file sits.

  4. I enabled the extension through the admin tab > utilities > extensions area.

  5. I then went to admin > weblog admin, custom weblog field, add edit custom fields for my Default field group.

  6. Chose “Body” and changed “Field Type” to “WSYIWYG”.

That’s it….and bummer, now I can’t login at all. I then tried deleting all the files from the server that I had added but I still get that same error.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

We found a previously visited URL for our control panel and from in there I found that I could get to the Extensions area and simply needed to “Disable Extensions” from the button on the top right.

We can now login and all is smooth WITHOUT TinyMCE installed. I will try to install TinyMCE on a separate server and see if I get the same error.
