Custom Member Fields in Admin Notification

How Do I?

Currently it looks like these are the only variables available in the Admin notification.

{name} {username} {email} {site_name} {control_panel_url}

Is there an AddOn that would allow us to send custom member fields?

Would appreciate some direction. Thanks!

Hi,

Assuming you are using EE7, which Admin notification email are you looking at? There are several. However, generally speaking, the Admin email templates are available through the Templates section of the Control Panel. You can make whatever edits to those that you need to. Although I have never tried to, I would think that - depending on the email and when it is sent, you could use channel entry tags, member custom_profile_data tags… whatever you want in those.

It might help to know specificly what you are trying to do. I haven’t really found anything that I couldn’t do with EE, juts need a clear view of it.

Russ, thanks for the reply.

I’m in Templates > System Templates > Email > Admin – New registration notification.

We have site with many custom member fields and would like to have those sent to an admin as well.

It doesn’t have to be run through this template as long we can get an email out with the additional fields.

Thoughts?

Yeah. Check out the add on Mx email to template. You could use that to send the information you want to an admin or anyone else when the New user hits the return page after registration. That might be the easiest thing to do.

P.S. The other thing would be to write an addon to do this if you have any experience with that sort of thing and use a hook (if one exists for that) to send it right after the registration posts
