RSS feeds not working at all

Have copied the template from https://docs.expressionengine.com/v6/add-ons/rss.html
Keep getting errors, although I can see nothing wrong.

Is this module still supported?

It shows in Firefox, but the gmt_date isn’t working. What are the errors you are getting?

Yep.
I’ve noticed that it works if I am not logged in, but If I am all the extra crap EE sends to the browser for debugging etc corrupts the XML feed.

sounds like you just need to disable debugging: https://docs.expressionengine.com/latest/control-panel/settings/debug-output.html#enable-debugging
