Hi, thanks for the quick response. As the title of the post says, it’s the search_results tag that’s not honoring it. I see at Displaying Search Results in the docs that “Nearly all of the Channel Entries Tag Variables are available for the search results page” and presumed the same for params — so that’s not the case?
Don’t think so — It’s definitely not my reading of the documentation, anyway. Maybe I’m misunderstanding. Do you have something that worked in EE5 using a “channel” parameter but doesn’t in EE6?
One reason I replied here is that I’m actually chasing down what I think is a bug in EE6 search. And it can look like channels aren’t being searched, but I think it’s actually that some custom fields aren’t being searched. More here: https://github.com/ExpressionEngine/ExpressionEngine/issues/1851
Great debuggery you are doing on increasing the batch size.
My post may be a bit misleading — I am just now trying to implement search on a particular site after updating to 6.3.4, so I didn’t have it working on any previous versions (been using Low Search elsewhere).
Having a channel parameter seems an obvious feature, but with Low Search being part of the EE Pro offer, I’ll be impressed if it gets added…
