Some nasty bug has completely changed and messed up all my roles and template access permissions with EE 6. I never had an issue on previous versions, but something on v6 has the checkboxes and how they work completely bugged on different settings.
I have tons of templates and when I changed something, some roles got unchecked and now the site is a complete mess with some pages giving error or not accessible because they lack the proper role permission.
Since my template roles are very granular with many roles on different files, I would like to know if it is possible to export all the roles/template/permission settings, or how can I make a backup?
Having to go through hundreds of files and check every single member role again is very time-consuming and annoying. I would like to have a backup copy, I can then export from my testing site to the production site and apply all the roles/permissions to templates at once.
If this is not possible, is there a way to reset all roles on templates to the defaults?
I can’t seriously believe this. Today, all my roles are reset again on all templates. I did not change anything since I posted this yesterday. I cannot use version 6 in production like this. Something is completely resetting all my roles on templates randomly.
This is a serious security flaw.
