site/index shows Index of page listing file

Hi, Just Installed EE6. If I create (or delete and recreate) a template group specifically called “site” and view (View Rendered) the generated index I get a Index of/ listing of my webroot files.. If I create a template group “test” and view the generated index file, it renders the HTML fine. The site is a in a sub dir “faculty-guide”. Please advise. Thanks

My fault. Looks like not removing index.php from the url settings (for htaccess to remove index.php) caused it.
