Add More Sorting/Ordering options to Track Views

It would be nice if EE could natively allow you to filter the tracked views by a duration (day, week, month) when output in a template, rather than just by all-time. Whether a blog, news site or other content site, being able to show popular content within a certain time frame in pretty common and I find 3rd party support for this sort of ability is dwindling away.
Not tested it but couldn’t you use start_on and stop_before parameters to filter entries by the date range?
The idea is to display the most viewed/popular content (trending content) in a recent time frame (yesterday, last week, last month etc.). If I’m not mistaken tracked views, as is stands, only records the amount of visits and no other data that can be used to filter. EE doesn’t know how many of the total hits were recorded in any a particular time frame other than “all time.”
Yep that’s true, the count will always be the grand total 😊

Well, they’re abandoning Tracker for EE3… and is the whole reason I started this request 😊
Yep pity that, but they may port it over for you if you have some budget to do it…?
