I’m looking to add a table into a custom publish tab (similar to the one in the revisions tab). If I recall correctly there was a “string_override” array element in EE 2.x that would allow developers to do something like this. Is there anything similar in EE3?

In this case, I’m looking to use the _shared/table view in a tab. I did take a quick peek in the code and if I’m not mistaken (but I often am 😉 ) it looks like I would need to create a field-type to support something like this?

Hey Tom,

Yeah it looks like there’s currently no way to send custom HTML at the moment. Can I ask what you need the table for? We don’t have any input forms with static tables in the middle of them, so we’re wondering what the use case is.

Hi Kevin,

Great question. In this case, it would be used in Transcribe to show the user a list of languages (or language entries) that the current entry is “related” to if you will.. Basically the other languages that have a translation of this entry. We also include a link to create a version for language X in there as well.

Attached below you will find a screenshot of what we currently have in place.

Thanks, Tom, makes sense. I’ve reimplemented string_override so it should work like it did in 2.x, should be in the next 3.1 build.
