Update 2: It seems that snippets are somehow changed from 2.72 to 2.10.1. I created a PDO connection in a snippet and when I copied that code from the snippet to the template, the page rendered. This is not mentioned anywhere in the change log.

Hi All, I just updated from EE 2.7.2 to 2.10.1 and now when I try to use the website as a user, I get the the following PHP error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘:’, expecting T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM in /system/expressionengine/libraries/Functions.php(688) : eval()’d code on line 55

My control panel seems to work just fine. I do have add-ons, mostly from solspace and all have been updated. MSM is also updated. Thanks for any help.

Update 1: My front end of the site seems to be down only for most of my pages. Several pages do seem to work. The line number for the error does change when I change with template to test.
