advanced search wild card / search all entries in catergory

I would like to say ” show me all from Category B” but I have to put text into the field - is there not a search all option ?

I think the assumption is that search.searches for something…while “show me all entries in a category” would be done in a dedicated template.
You can always look to a 3rd party search addon if the native one doesn’t suffice.
