EE updater does not recognise existing version
How Do I?

I want to update EE 2.6.1 to 2.9.2.
I’m using Focus Lab’s LLC Master Config.
While I could successfully update locally, when I start the updater on production it wants to install a “brand new version” of EE.
How can I check what’s going on?

I tried to update from scratch. Then it recognised that I had an older version. But then it asked for all setup details again and wanted to install from scratch!
Never mind. After 3 hours I gave up, purchased Dev Demon’s Updater and updated within 10 mins. (No, I’m not working for them. I’m extremely frustrated at this hour…:-(()
