Problems saving forms to database for really large forms

I’ve created a module with that can submit a rather large form (1000+ elements) in the control panel. After the form submission, the control panel shows a list of the forms submitted. Every so often, the form will fail to save and kick me out to the control panel home page.

The forms can take 30 minutes or more to fill out. Is there a form submission timeout I need to check? It seems random. Sometimes I can wait 30 minutes and it still works, sometimes, it’ll send me to the home page after 10 minutes.
