How to prevent posting duplicate entries?

Hey All!

I’m looking for a way to prevent duplicate entries (based on submitted Title) - specifically I want to keep our users from being able to POST entries with duplicate Titles. I’ve looked through all of the add-ons at Devot:ee that would appear related but I haven’t found anything that seems to do this.

We can setup an external form using the Channel Forms if necessary but we need a means to warn the user when they submit their entry that the title has already been entered (if it’s already in the db). This could be a simple js popup or form validation.

Does anyone know of such an add-on or a method to accomplish this?
