A while back I set up multiple channels (weblogs at the time - to show their age) which were only slightly different, and mainly used for different display.
Over time they’ve all stayed very similar.
If I were to set this up now I’d make one channel with just an extra switch or two to label things how I’d like. I’d also only have one field set and that’s where things will really be nice.
I know I can export and then import the channels I want to move, with the extra fields filled in, but is there an easier way?
As far as I know the only way to accomplish this without an export/import is if all channels have the same status, field and category group. Entries can then be reassigned in the edit window.
Unfortunately that’s a lot of entries. Maybe I’d be better off running a few queries to get it done.
