Help integrating iContact with Solspace Freeform

Using the following: EE v2.5.2 - Build Date: 20120606 Freeform 3.0.6

Does anyone know how I can integration an iContact mailing list subscription into a simple freeform contact form? I’d like users to be able to select a box that says “subscribe to mailing list” and then have their name and email automatically sent to iContact. Or, they can be subscribed automatically without the opt-in check box.

I have no experience with the iContact API and wouldn’t know where to start. Has any one done this before? I was hoping there would be a plugin for this, but have not found anything so far.
