{stylesheet} hook?

Hi there,
I am trying to write a extension that will add a template_type for LESS file and process into css. Everything is working, but when I started to look for a hook for the {stylesheet} tag, no luck…
Is there such a hook? Or should I be looking into another approach?

I saw that one. I was looking to avoid writing a plugin. I figured if there is a way to hook into {stylesheet}, it would be cool. Is it possible?
I should also say that I looked into the EE_stylesheet.php and I couldn’t tell if there is hooks being called.

Is there a standard way for me to override the EE_stylesheet class with my own that would process LESS?
