Extending Expression Engine Profile theme

Hi ,

I am new to Expression Engine .I am trying to develop an extension .

I want to make some changes to my EE profile page using a extension [/member/profile]

I want to do 2 things

1.Under Utilities i want to add another Link called Newsletters and a view page for that links

2.I want to change member/edit_subscriptions pages contents with my own form
