Dreaded system folder path error on production

Hey there,

I’m working on developing a new site and decided to switch to using the EE Master Config (https://github.com/focuslabllc/ee-master-config) to help streamline things a bit. Before I had the master config deployed, my site with a production-specific config/database.php and config/config.php ran just fine.

Now I get this error: Your system folder path does not appear to be set correctly. Please open the following file and correct this: index.php

I can’t seem to track down the source of the problem, because my local machine runs just fine with the master config in effect. On production it’s a different story. So I’m guessing it has something to do with my production environment and paths, but I’m not sure how to root the issue out.

And, for what it’s worth, I’m running on a MediaTemplate dpv Nitro server, so this isn’t a (gs) or similar environment.

Thanks!

Bumping this post again to see if anyone else has ideas… I’ll keep working on it today, but this one has me really stumped.

Hi kalath726,

I’m sorry for the trouble you’ve run into. However, we don’t support the Focus Lab Master Config. If you take it out, using just the straight ExpressionEngine set up, everything works properly?

The only suggestion I have is to double check everything in your environment folders and check with the Community in Development and Programming.

Cheers,

Okay, no problem. I think I got it working again. I just blew away all of the files and started over and introduced the master config again and it seemed to work fine.
