config file being included twice

Hey guys. Was just updating our base EE repository with EE 2.5 and noticed that the config file is being included twice somewhere (not sure if this was pre-existing). I can put an echo statement at the top and it outputs twice. Since we have a custom override config file to automate some of our development flow that is quite a bit of overhead and causes some other issues. Our install is pretty basic and clean but I haven’t tried this on a completely out of the box install. Has anyone else seen this? Thanks!

Nice catch, caddisint. I dropped in a backtrace and both CI’s config library and EE’s extension of the class are calling it. Taking a closer look, it would take some tweaking, but I believe that could be avoided, which would obviously have some benefits.

So- not a bug and not a new issue, but I’ve made a note to work the improvement in. It is irksome- thanks for pointing it out to us!

Robin, thanks for the response. So we can decide whether or not to try and work around it, hack it, or wait for a resolution do you have any timeframe in mind? Thanks again.
