Hello,
We are running the latest version of EE2. The server that hosts our EE site also host some custom PHP applications we developed for internal use.
We are having a tough time trying to access the currently logged in user session data from our PHP application. We want a user to login on our EE site and from there access the PHP applications. The user ID is what we want to access in our PHP application. Using the user id from the SESSION we will be able to auto-login the user in the custom PHP app.
How can we achieve this?
Thank you!
Hi adisys,
You would need to develop an add-on to “bridge the gap” between ExpressionEngine and your custom apps. The “how to” of that is beyond the scope of technical support, but you would likely need an extension that ties into the authorization hooks.
To get you the broadest suggestions, I’m going to move this into the Development and Programming forum.
Cheers!
