Member registration hook usage

Hi,

We have a need to read in a code from a registration link and do some processing on the user based on the code he used when registering.

We understand this should be doable using the registration hooks but could not find examples of how the registration hook can be used. We have most of it covered except the part to process the user with registration hooks.

Could you please help?
