Add Wiki Parser

I am migrating a large MediaWiki wiki to EE. The problem is the syntax is not the same. How can I add MediaWiki tags? Should I use the wiki hooks and use a MediaWiki parser there? Or can I add the MediaWiki parser to the Templating system? Any ideas?

I solved it by adding a wiki parser through a txt-format plugin.
