  1. How can I output member fields while looping channel entries? E.g. I have a custom member variable that I want to display next to a blog entry

  2. Can I use single variables as tag parameters?

  1. I thought you could use these exactly the same as custom channel fields, such as you can with {screen_name}, But if not, just use {exp:member:custom_profile_data member_id ={author_id} Inside your channel entries loop. If you dont put member_id=”“, it will display info for the currrently logged in user

  2. Yes, due to the parse order. Lots of modules have tags that require an entry id, which is pulled from a channel entries loop and then fed into another tag inside it
