Extending Backend Content search

Our editorial team have asked for extra search options (such as searching by article id) when trying to find articles through the admin areas. Is there a way we can extend the search found under Content->Edit or alternatively build our own search page?

Hi dogma, As Erik mentioned, I think Zenbu would satisfy your needs. Whether your article data is the entry id, title or a custom field, you should be able to search based on these criteria. In addition, custom field data can be displayed in your entry listing results, among a lot of other things Zenbu can do.
