Multilingual site with template caching displaying actual title tag

We have a multilingual site setup in English and Dutch. Works great unless we enable template caching. Once this is done, the tag for the Dutch Title in the feed displays incorrectly.

The tag in the template looks like this…

{collab-title_{country_code}}

The english will display the correct value, but the Dutch displays this in the XML feed

{collab-title_en}

Notice it displays both the wrong language code and displays the actual tag, not a value.
