phpBB and migrating to EE with Forum?

I was wondering if anyone has tried migrating a phpBB forum to an Expression Engine with forum?

I was thinking that an EE solution have to be better then using phpBB; member functions, administration, interface - you name it - is awfully messy and it look like someone took a sh*t in the templating part of phpBB.

But phpBB also contains a big pile of tables in the database - most of them probably unnecessary, but still there.

The reason as to why I want to migrate is that my client would like some content management, as his site is expanding in forms of content; articles, news and what-not.

Anyone?
