Hi,

I need the content of the form to be sent to an email address, like with freeform. Can’t find a parameter to do that. Any idea how to do that?

Hi, Michel. That would make a great Feature Request. Please do consider making it.

I believe that Safecracker has an extension hook :

$this->EE->extensions->call(‘safecracker_submit_entry_end’, $this);

You might be able to create an extension that fires off the details after the form is submitted maybe?

Hi Michel,

As Mark suggests, you could create an extension to do this. Shall I move this thread to the Development & Programming forum for you?

Cheers

Greg

@Mark, thanks for the help.

Can you guide me a bit on where/how I should do this? The code will be fine, but where should I add this?

Regards, Michel

Looking for help with this issue also. I have an extension that is called with the Safe Cracker via the safecracker_submit_entry_end hook. I have a handle to the Safe Cracker Library object. Now what? I need to detect the type of channel being edited (i have different channels being edit with Safe Cracker) and the status of the channel entry. If channel = x and status = y I need to send emails. Sending emails I know how to do. Getting the SAFE Cracker form data is not clear.

I am able to access the form POST data using the input class which is all I need right now. I would still like to know how to use the Safe Cracker library reference that is passed in and what it is good for. I feel like I am missing something not knowing how to use it.
