Relate custom module data to channel data

Hi everyone,

I would like to link data from my custom module to channel data in the same way the relationship field works for channels.

Does anyone have experience with this?

Sort of like:

{exp:custommodule:item}
  
   {getchanneldata channel="dummy"}
     
    {url_title}

    {/getchanneldata}

{/exp:custommodule:item}
