Displaying Message Pages without going to another page

Hello! I was wondering if there was any way to display the message pages (“the following errors were encountered” after submitting an invalid form etc) into my own templates, without having to go to another page?

I’ve styled these custom pages, but it feels really clunky to take the user away from the page instead of popping a dialogue box on the page they were on when the error occurred.

Thanks in advance!

I guess what you’re looking for is additional javascript validation so you can display errors on the same page before the form is actually submitted. Have a look at http://bassistance.de/jquery-plugins/jquery-plugin-validation/ a really powerful jQuery plugin to add js validation to any form.

I wanted to have something there if javascript wasn’t enabled to be honest, seems odd that it only displays one error at a time too :s

Thanks for the link to the jQuery plugin though - I’ll be using that for sure!
