Implementing user ratings

Hi there, I’m new to EE - I haven’t actually used it yet, just reading through the docs and getting familiar with its features.
Is there the facility to implement a user rating system for entries or channels?

I think there are various options - these are add-on modules. A really simply one I just used was Likee by Bouyant.

That is a simple like-dislike FREE add-on.
There are others, I think, which do ratings. Search around on http://devot-ee.com/
