Wow.. this is something I never actually really thought of! Very interesting idea which i’m sure I will be using a lot. Hopefully it will be available for use very soon. It will work wonders on my current project.

sorry if i’m being thick, but I can’t figure out how this would be used, and why it would (most likely) be cool.

First of all the module started as an idea to relate channel_entries/youtube/vimeo to an Entry. Several clients wanted to add videos to their blog posts or products channel.

While developing the module we had several projects where tweets and twitter users and forum posts (Bug Tracker) had to be related to an entry.

So we combined it all into one module.

So the basic idea is. The ability to related/link any of the above to an entry. And display it in your templates.

OK, so its a bit like the Playa module, but instead of just relating one entry to several other entries, I can relate it to several other entries, tweets, vimeo clips etc etc? and presumably you relate them by inputing a URL to that tweet / vimeo page?

and then you have the output list of related items that can be skinned however you want in relation to that main entry?

You actually can just search vimeo, twitter, youtube, etc. You don’t even have to know the link. It grabs the data and groups it how you want. Then you can output that data by relating or cross-relating it to entries.

This is great idea. After the search is performed…does it actually pull and insert into channel info such as Youtube URL or? Good stuff!

For different types of content it grabs different things. Thumbnails, links, titles, descriptions, etc…

I have been looking for something like this to aggregate a series of posts under a specific topic and display the topic as a single entry page. unfortunately I am on ee 1.6.9 . Any chance this will work for me? See my original posts here: http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/156826/
